Four Sacred Pillars, Twelve Principles
The Anura’kai belief is based on 4 core pillars – each a sacred dimension of life, encompassing 12 principles for living in harmony with the Divine, Earth and all other beings. Each pillar is a flowing stream of wisdom, carrying three related principles.
The Four Sacred Pillars are the foundations of the Anura’kai path, yet they are also living rivers – always flowing, always carrying the seeker deeper into the mystery of the Divine. They hold both the eternal truths of existence and the dynamic flow of spiritual practice.
Together, they form a mandala of Oneness, Love, Awakening and Balance, guiding every step of life’s journey. Each pillar is upheld by three Principles, which act as sacred torches, illuminating the way of love, wisdom, and unity.
Together, these twelve principles form a map of spiritual living:
- from the infinite Dream of creation,
- through the embrace of the living Earth,
- into the awakening of the sacred Self,
- and finally, into the great Harmony of all beings.
They are not commandments but invitations – open doors to walk a path of Love, Light, and Unity.
-The Eternal Song of Creation
The first pillar is the remembrance that all things are one.
This pillar speaks of the origin and mystery of creation, where the Divine unfolds existence, with Love, through Light. It reminds us that we are not separate from the sacred flow of time, ancestors, and life’s eternal pulse.
It teaches that we are dreamers and dreams within the same infinite field of consciousness – past, present, and future, woven together in the golden thread of creation.
To walk this pillar is to live with reverence for every being, knowing that all are faces of the same One Spirit.
Principles:
-
Dreamtime Continuum – The River of All Moments
Time is not linear but an eternal spiral where past, present, and future breathe as one.
-
Ancestral Streams – Walking with Those Who Came Before
The wisdom of ancestors flows through us, guiding our steps with their songs and stories.
-
Care for All Life – Love in Motion
Love is the lifeblood of creation, expressed as compassion and protection for all beings.
-Union with Land, Sky, and All Beings
The second pillar is the call to live in intimate communion with the Earth, who is both elder and living kin. It calls us to live with reverence, balance, and sufficiency.
Love is not mere sentiment but the force that nourishes all life – flowing like rivers through fields of existence.
To live this pillar is to care for the land, for one another, and for the web of life as sacred kinship.
Principles:
4. The Sacredness of Mother Earth – Embrace of the Living Earth
The land is a sacred cradle, teaching us to walk gently and gratefully.
5. Union with Nature – The Living Elder of Earth
Every being – tree, stone, river – is alive within spirit, inviting us into communion.
6. Circle of Enough – The Art of Sacred Sufficiency
True abundance is found in balance, gratitude, and sharing what we have.
-Awakening the Light Within
The third pillar is the journey inward – tending the sacred ember within, which holds the truth of who we are. To awaken the Sacred Self is not to withdraw from the world, but to become a vessel of beauty, wisdom, and peace.
This pillar calls us to align with truth, live authentically and in peace, and grow into our fullest expression of the Divine.
Principles:
7. The Inner Fire – Nurturing the Eternal Flame
Each soul holds a sacred ember that must be nurtured with courage and integrity.
8. Deep Listening – Hearing the Voices of Silence
Wisdom is found in stillness, listening to the quiet teachings of spirit and heart.
9. Sacred Truth – The Flame that Clears and Restores
Truth is a cleansing light, guiding us to authenticity and wholeness.
-The Path of Love and Action
The fourth pillar is the weaving of diversity into unity, of self and world into collective harmony. It is the art of peace-making, where every voice is a thread in the tapestry of the One.
This pillar radiates collective love and peace, where diversity is celebrated, and humanity moves as one. It calls for communion and shared ceremony.
To walk this pillar is to honor differences while finding the song that unites all beings.
Principles:
10. Sacred Diversity – Honoring the Many Faces of the Divine
All paths, cultures, and beings reflect the same divine light.
11. Empathic Communion – Feeling the Web of All Beings
To feel another’s joy or sorrow as your own is the deepest expression of unity.
12. Ceremony of Peace – Gathering in Songs and Silence
Through ceremony, song, and prayer, we create harmony within ourselves and the world.
The Four pillars and Twelve Principles of Anura’kai form a living map of the spiritual journey: from the infinite dream of creation, through the embrace of the Earth, into the awakening of the self, and finally into the great harmony of all beings. They are not commandments but invitations – open doors to walk a path of Love, Light, and Unity with all existence.
